Your board and searches
The guesses, letters and colors you enter in the solver, and everything you type into the word finder, word lists or starting-word tester, are processed locally in your browser. They are not sent to our server, not stored in our database, not written to application logs and not included in analytics events.
The site remembers two settings on your device, Hint mode and Hard mode, in your browser's local storage. Copying only happens when you press a copy button and your browser allows it; the site never reads your clipboard. The site does not keep a history of your boards.
Information received with a web request
Like any website, our hosting and security provider receives the information needed to deliver a page: the requested URL, time, browser and device details, IP address and security signals. Cloudflare provides hosting, delivery and security for this site and processes that request information under its own terms. Your board is not part of those requests, except that conditions you open in the solver from the word finder or a word list appear in the page address (for example ?known=s___e).
Analytics
If you choose Allow analytics, Google Analytics 4 records anonymous usage of the site. If you choose Necessary only, Google Analytics is not loaded. Until you choose, nothing from Google is loaded. You can change your choice at any time with Analytics preferences at the bottom of every page; withdrawing consent stops Google Analytics and removes its first-party cookies.
Besides page views, only these events are sent: board_result (the solver produced a result), suggestion_copy (a suggested word was copied), use_word (a suggestion was placed on the board), hint_mode_toggle and hard_mode_toggle (a mode was switched), contradiction_shown (the board's colors could not all be true), finder_result (a word finder search returned results) and list_open_in_solver (conditions were opened in the solver). They carry only the page, the number of rows on the board, a size band of the result (none, one, few or many) and whether a mode was switched on. They never contain your guesses, letters, colors, searches or any word.
Your analytics choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the banner does not appear on every visit. Clearing this site's browser data removes it.
Cookies
Without analytics consent the public pages set no cookies. With consent, Google Analytics sets its _ga cookies. The private administrator sign-in uses authentication cookies that only the site administrator receives.
Private administration
The site has one private administrator who signs in with an email address and password to manage the Blog. There is no public sign-up, account, payment or subscription. The site's database (Cloudflare D1) stores the administrator account, settings and published Blog content — never visitor input.
Messages you send us
If you email support@wordlesolver.dev, we receive your message, your email address and anything you include, through the email services involved in delivery. We use it only to reply and to fix reported problems.
Children
The site is a general-audience tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. It has no accounts and does not ask for personal details.
Advertising
Google AdSense ads are not currently shown on this site. If ads are added later, this policy will be updated first, and Google and its partners may then use cookies and similar technologies to show and measure ads. Any required advertising consent controls will be in place before that processing starts.
